Consulting
My main responsibility is as Director of the Statistical Consulting Centre.
I have over 20 years of experience in applied statistical work. I have a particular interest in communicating statistical ideas effectively in all I do.
I have written over 200 consulting reports for projects of all sizes, and for clients from business, industry and government. I have acted as an expert witness in many court cases in a variety of jurisdictions.
Research interests
- Random effects models in meta-analysis
- Advanced methods in survival analysis
- Propensity score analysis

Teaching responsibilities
Consulting and Applied Statistics: This is an honours level subject that introduces students to the practice of statistical consulting. I teach a number of other courses in the Statistical Consulting Centre, including Statistics for Research Workers.
